Directing and Pointing Copy

This strategy can be used in both the conversation part of the program and the activity. Where a participant has difficulty answering questions, the facilitator or loved one can offer two or more choices, in the form of words, pictures or other relevant manipulatives and the participant points to their choice. The facilitator can then vocalize the choice to share with the group.

In hands-on activities, as described earlier, participants can point out their choices of materials and then point out where they want their partner to put them.
