I took my wife to a program at the art gallery today and I learned some tricks to help her make art. She used to love to paint, but lately hasn’t been able to. When we sat at the table and we saw the paint, I wasn’t sure what to expect. She looked at the paintbrush, but wasn’t sure what to do with it. I handed it to her but she just put it back on the table. The artist came over to us, and showed us how to get started – he dipped the brush into the paint, and then handed it to Jane, and pointed to the paper, suggesting that there was a good place to start. I watched, and she started to paint! Once she started, I could see how happy she was. She kept going, using lots of different colours and lines. It was great!
