Welcome to Artful Moments-Shared Learning Module 6: Engagement & Wellbeing. In this module we will bring together everything you have learned in this curriculum, to understand the outcome of a successful Artful Moments-style program. The goal for this module is for you to understand what ‘engagement’ and ‘wellbeing’ mean within the context of museum programs. By then end of this module you will be able to:
And, by completing this curriculum you will be able to:
Use what you have learned to effectively be able to plan and deliver an Artful-Moments-style program or session, using your own museum, collections and exhibitions. Every museum has its own mandate, collections and programming. By understanding and planning for the positive impact of this initiative, you will be well-equipped to connect and modify your work in meaningful and creative programming. Our vision for Artful Moments is that it offers a way to continue the great work you are already doing, applying the knowledge you have acquired to your programs in order to more fully support the abilities of participants and adapt to the changes they are experiencing because of their dementia. By encouraging knowledge-based adaptation, informed responsiveness and creativity, museums will open new opportunities for meaningful connections to people living with dementia and their loved ones.
